James (Jim) Meadows, Ph.D., is the Dean and Director of WEA’s Educator Career Pathways Center leading WEA’s Apprenticeship Residency in Teaching, the first union-run teacher preparation program in the nation. Jim has worked for WEA for 23 years on educator quality and National Board Certification initiatives. He also leads statewide work supporting emergency substitute teachers. Jim earned his Ph.D. in Education Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Washington in 2003.
