Casey Osborn-Hinman joined the SCAN team in October 2015 after nearly six years with the Children’s Alliance in Washington State. As Early Learning Advocacy Manager, Casey convened the Early Learning Action Alliance, Washington’s early learning advocacy coalition. Casey first became interested in early learning policy and advocacy during her time as a Teach For America corps member and kindergarten teacher at People For People Charter School in Philadelphia. Casey fells passionately that early learning is a powerful tool for closing the opportunity gap and producing more equitable outcomes for children. Casey holds a Bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College and a Master’s of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives with her toddler son and husband (and two dogs!) in Seattle.
