Shahraim C. Allen’s Bio I have been nominated by acclamation to the position of Legislative Representative for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Division 238, since 2006. With various undertakings in local and community outreach, by way of Delegate to the Pierce County Central Labor Council, since 2006, as well. At that time, I was nominated as the Tacoma Terminal Safety Representative for BNSF Railway Co., holding various positions such as Site Safety Representative, Vice-Chair and Chairman of the Safety Committee, to include piloting the Distributive Power and Mountain Mentor programs for BNSF Railways – Tacoma Terminal, in addition to the organizer of the Tacoma Terminal - Family and Community Day, and Flu-Vaccination Clinics from 2007 – 2011. In 2013 the majority of my peers, voted me into my current position of BLET-Washington State Legislative Board – Chairman. In the last four years, I have had the honor of seeking out legislation in the behalf of the BLET Membership of Washington State. To include assisting the BLET National Division in 2015 - by lobbying in Washingtons DC and representative at the National Conference of State Legislatures, in the city of Seattle and other assignments, working in the members behalf. Born in Seattle, and raised in East Tacoma, WA as resident of the Puget Sound Area, I’ve had many local and worldly influences throughout my life. With a mother dedicated to a lifetime of equality for all, through Political Action in the community and our state capitol and a father as a career Railroader of 39 years and my grandfather before him, knowing and understanding not only their struggles, but that of the human race, has compelled me to uplift those who may not feel they have a voice, the ability, or the strength to recognize just how important they truly are, has shaped and molded me into who I am, and have committed myself to the service of the membership of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. - Thank you Graduate Stadium High School – Honors Student / Rotary Club of Tacoma – Member 1994 BN Railroad – hired out Sept. 11, 1994, as Switchman / Brakeman | Engineer / Conductor – Dec. 20, 1995
