Colleen Kerr joined Microsoft from Washington State University, where she served as the Vice President and Chief Legislative Officer for the Office of External Affairs and Government Relations. In this role, she oversaw the university’s strategic engagement with federal, state, and local governments, as well as with business, community, and media partners. She also led the university’s advocacy efforts on behalf of its students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Colleen has a wealth of experience and expertise in public policy, higher education, and communications. She built her legislative and political chops working as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the WA Senate Democratic Caucus and as the Chief of Staff in the personal office of Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown and was Counsel for the State Government & Tribal Affairs and Agriculture and Natural Resources Committees.
Colleen is based in Microsoft’s Redmond office.
