April Putney is the Vice President of External Affairs and Transportation for SeattleFWC26, the local organizing committee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Seattle. Previously, April most recently served as the King County Deputy Executive. She joined King County Executive Dow Constantine’s office in 2014, where prior to being named deputy, she managed state and federal relations, directed government and external relations, and was chief of staff. Before working with the county, April worked primarily on land use, transportation, and housing policy while directing state policy and advocacy for Futurewise, Washington state's lead smart growth organization.
