Adam Gitlin serves as counsel for the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, where his work focuses on voting rights. Before joining the Brennan Center, Mr. Gitlin spent seven years as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, investigating and litigating potential anitrust-law violations. Before that he clerked for the Honorable Noel A. Kramer of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Mr. Gitlin graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2007, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Princeton University in 2003, after which he was the inaugural High Meadows Fund fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund, working on environmental problems affecting New York City.
