Shankar joined the ACLU-WA as Legislative Director in August 2008. He was previously Policy Director at Hate Free Zone, and practiced law at Preston Gates and Ellis in Seattle prior to that. Shankar holds a JD from Yale Law School and an MPA from Harvard's Kennedy School of government.
