Jon is currently the Program Coordinator for the Washington State Dig Law Safety Committee and has worked for the past year as the moderator of a stakeholder group focused on reaching consensus on dig law change proposals put forward by the safety committee with the support of the UTC. The stakeholder group includes representatives from most utility groups as well as contractors and other interested parties. Jon served on the board and as the chairman of Washington 811 for 15 of years. He retired from Qwest Communications (now Centurylink) in 2004 and most recently retired a second time, having served the public as a maintenance superintendent for WSDOT for the last 13 years. He is a long time resident of Poulsbo, Wa where he resides with his wife Shelley.
