Carol Rava
Lobbying since: 2016
Carol is currently the CEO of the Technology Alliance, where she works with many of the state’s top business, education, and civic leaders who share a commitment to the innovation-driven economy. Together they believe that technology is a force for good and that strengthening the foundation of our innovation economy – education, research, entrepreneurism – will benefit the whole state. Prior to joining the Tech Alliance, Carol helped launch and establish Get Schooled, a national non-profit with a highly engaging digital platform to help low-income students on their path through high school and onto college. She has worked at Seattle Public Schools leading strategy and external partnerships, and at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where over eight years in policy and communications roles, she held six different managerial positions. Her most important job is as the mother of three Generation Z youth. Carol graduated from Harvard with a BA in History & Religion and from Stanford with a Master’s in Education Policy. She has (proudly) called Seattle home for more than 20 years.
