Jessica Spiegel

Jessica Spiegel joined the WSPA team in February 2015. She is the lead for legislative affairs and climate policy in the Northwest region. In this capacity, Jessica is responsible for managing and leading WSPA’s state government affairs operations in Oregon and Washington and to drive the execution of the organization’s advocacy priorities.
Prior to joining WSPA, Jessica was a policy analyst for the environment and natural resources for a legislative caucus in Washington.
She previously worked as a federal permitter specializing in permitting large-scale mine operations, responsible for five operations for Barrick Gold Corporation in Nevada. Successfully completed NEPA permitting for the Arturo Mine Project, which was ranked as a second best ‘rookie’ gold mines (open pit) on the planet in 2016 by mining.com.
Jessica earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Geology from Oregon State University and a Juris Doctorate of Law from Lewis and Clark Law School.
