Heather Pierce is the Deputy Director of Government Affairs with the Rental Housing Association of Washington (RHAWA) where she advocates to protect mom-and-pop rental property investments from too much regulation and to preserve affordable housing in Washington state. Representing more than 5000 members across Washington, Heather alongside a dedicated group of volunteer board members and state lobbyist propose practical housing policy solutions through building coalitions and public private partnerships, educating members on legislative agendas to advocate for rental housing industry issues at the state level, and engaging elected officials to influence the outcome of policy making at the state and local level. Heather has 10+ years of experience building strategic relationships with public and private sector partners to move policy objectives forward and achieve ambitious goals. In coordination with her work in Government Affairs with RHAWA, Heather is on the Policy Council for the Bellevue Chamber and on the Advisory Board with the Pierce County Landlord Liaison Program.
