Joanna Arlow provides policy assistance and advocacy in the area of mental health and suicide prevention for Forefront, a center of excellence in the University of Washington School of Social Work. Prior to the 2021 session Jo has served as a community organizer for Forefront, as policy counsel for the Senate Democratic and House caucuses in the areas of human services and corrections, and as the Policy Director of the WA Assoc. of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs. She has extensive experience in state, local and federal policy concerning the mental health, human services and corrections systems.
