Jayme Shoun serves as the Director of Policy and Government Affairs for Washington STEM, collaborating with both internal and external colleagues to identify, support, and successfully advocate for systems-level change in policies and practices that aim to close pervasive equity gaps.
Jayme’s previous work includes serving as a senior constituent liaison for Congressman Jim McDermott, working in state-level campaign fundraising, and as a student lobbyist at WSU-Vancouver. She brings experience working on education issues at the local, state, and federal levels and a passion for advocating for educational opportunities for every student in Washington State.
Jayme holds a BA in Public Affairs from Washington State University and an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.
